Blank Check Printing Scam

I was so excited to start receiving emails from my website’s “Contact Us” page that I nearly lost my head.  An email came from someone requesting bookkeeping services.  I emailed them back, as they did not give me a valid phone number.  They replied:

“Do you know how to write checks using check software and print checks on blank check paper?
Can you handle printing and mailing of 15 checks per day- total of 300 checks monthly? Do you charge per hour or monthly flat rate? Is there any Staples or office depot nearby to get blank check stock?”

I considered this, and decided I would do it for my maximum rate, and only if it was online only.  It was a little unusual, with the blank check stock and all, so I looked online to see what this would entail.  Special printer and ink, so I decided, probably not worth my time.  Their reply to that was:

“I will provide you fund to purchase envelopes, stamp's, check soft, printer with special ink. How much will be your monthly service cost?”

At this point they seemed very insistent. I was not very interested in printing from blank check stock for a company they told me absolutely nothing about.  Imperfect grammar had me running for the hills!  I checked with a LinkedIn bookkeeping group I am in, and they agreed.  This is a scam. Run!
